Pisang Peak Climbing at the top of 6,091 m / 19,984 ft of Pisang Peak summit and offers a grand opportunity to explore the other side of North Annapurna region. Pisang peak located in the Northern Annapurna region between two worlds highest mountains Mt. Manaslu 8,156 m /26,759 ft and Mt. Annapurna I - 8,091 m / 26,545 ft. The only significant challenge on this peak climbing is the high altitude. The German Expedition group was the first to make successful ascent to the summit of Pisang Peak in 1955 and since then it has been considered the most popular peak in Annapurna region. Hence, amateur climbers who are physically and mentally strong can accomplish this peak climb without any climbing skills and previous mountaineering experiences which makes this peak even more popular among mountaineers.
The trek starts with a grand drive to the headquarters of Lamjung district, Beshisahar and unto the small village at Jagat from where the trekking begins on the main route of Annapurna circuit trekking and to Pisang village passing along varied ecosystems, diverse cultures and wonderful landscapes. The trip from Pisang village ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka at 4,380 m which is the best place to set the base camps. Above the base camps a High Ccamp 5,400 m is set to climb the summit of Pisang Peak. The summit offers complete mesmerizing views of Annapurna and Manaslu range of mountains with Tilicho peak and other mountains of mid West Himalaya. Another significant challenge on this trip is crossing the Thorong-la Pass at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft. then leading down to a sacred place for Hindus and Buddhists, Muktinath Valley which literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’ and through the world’s deepest gorge in Kali Gandaki valley and with a super scenic mountain flight from Jomsom town with super views then reaching at the most scenic spot in Pokhara makes this trekking is more special after a life time experience in the high mountains with Adventure Hub Trek.
