Island Peak climbing with Everest base camp trek allows you to climb up the most popular Island peak and take you into the heart of the Khumbu region and Everest Base Camp as well. Island peak, widely known as Imja Tse stands at an elevation of 6,160 m (20,210 ft) the most famous Himalayan peak. The named Island peak as it appears like an island in an icy belt at Imjatse valley. Located on top of the Chhukung glacier between Mt. Ama Dablam and Mt. Lhotse mountains, it was in 1956 when the summit of Island Peak was first climbed by Swiss team making as a training and preparation for Mount Everest expedition. Since then, hundreds of climbers have successfully climbed this peak as it is technically but not too challenging and doesn’t need any previous climbing experience.

Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Day 2 : In Kathmandu with half day sightseeing tour

Day 3 : In Kathmandu preparation for expedition

Day 4 : Fly to Lukla 2,820 m & trek to Phakding 2,640 m 04 hrs

Day 5 : Trekking to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m 06 hrs

Day 6 : Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion

Day 7 : Trekking to Tengboche 3,867 m 05hrs

Day 8 : Trekking to Dingboche 4,260 m 05hrs

Day 9 : Rest at Dingboche for acclimatization and excursion

Day 10 : Trekking to Lobuche 4,930 m 05 hrs

Day 11 : Trek to Gorak Shep 5,170 m / 16,961ft and to Everest Base Camp 5,364 m / 17,594 ft and back to GorakShep 08 hrs.

Day 12 : Trekking to Kongma La 5,535 m / 18,159ft) and to Chhukung 4,730 m / 15,518 ft 07 hrs

Day 13 : Trekking to Island Base Camp 5,200 m / 17,060 ft 04 hours
